Game #8 planning weekend

Again, Team Nova got together in person to plan for the upcoming event.

We've been slowly putting the plot threads together over the last few months in online meetings, but sometimes you need to meet up for a longer stretch to really tease out things that don't come to the fore unless you're sitting there talking through the whole thing together.

Also, as a background activity while talking, we made some more money to hand out to you all in the game as we were running low on hard currency.

Jobs in A Life on the Edge tend to be paid for in paper currency or small gold bars for practical reasons: we haven't built a 'digital currency' system and to do so is a low priority compared to anything else. It makes it pretty straightforward for people to manage what they have in game and we keep your Eddies for you between events.

We're still using some old 'Star Wars' money designs simply because that was what Jim had available at the first event and now they're in play, replacing them all would be a bit of a chore. Maybe one year over winter...

Booking push

Our next plot writing weekend will be on 1st August so we're trying to finalise player bookings as best we can.

This will help us write in specific plot links for players as much as is practical at this point.

• Cost: Players £80 on or before 2nd July 2026, £90 thereafter. Crew £10.
